Monsoon on Outside of the Box (Ep. 83)

It's Monsoooooooon season and I was delighted to be joined by Tom Brewster and Sarah Asplin (Tim was there in spirit) to talk about one of my absolute favorite robots of all time. The Brits came roaring back after being away since 2019 to become arguably the best 1-2 robot in the field with a slaughtering of Horizon and very close matches against Black Dragon and Whiplash under their belt. We also talked about how exciting and scary it is to think about fighting DeathRoll and why we might see more appeals this late in the season.

We touched on the Hydra match, but got more into what Blip has been doing this season including the sibling battle where Blip emerged victorious. Aren also reveals his new robot idea for BattleBots World Championship 8 and the team going out to Norwalk for the March event!

GForce FIRST Robotics Team on Outside of the Box (Ep. 76)

I once again caught up with the amazing girls that are part of G-Force Robotics - a FIRST team from Clayton, NC who are doing amazing things and will absolutely build a BattleBot someday. We previewed their upcoming competition, other events planned for this season and talked about the importance of being great role models in the community and promoting STEM fields.
